Banyan Golf Club Hua Hin

Banyan Golf Club

The Banyan golf club – an 18-hole par 72 with a 7,361 yardage – is one of three of the latest golf courses to be constructed in Hua Hin. Located west on Soi 112, it will take about 10 minutes to drive there from the centre of Hua Hin. The championship golf course was constructed and designed by Khun Pirapon Namatra – otherwise known as Khun Op – who also has to his credit designed Bangsai Country Club, which also has a residential estate on it. Amongst other courses, he has also designed Santiburi Samui Country Club and The Lakes course at Blue Canyon Country Club.

The Banyan golf course is an elevated golf course with striking views down through the valley and on out towards the Burmese mountains. Located on a former pineapple plantation with mountains that border around it, some of the pineapple fields have been left behind to not only provide attractive and natural out-of-bounds areas but also to give a truly tropical feel to the course. There are also stunning sea views from hole number 15 par 3, which look out over Lion Island – otherwise known as Singtoh Island – in the Gulf of Thailand. The Banyan also has a residential estate nearby with Thai-style villas and condominiums for sale and rent.

The Banyan club house is simply spectacular. Ultra-modern design is mixed in with traditional Thai-style architecture to provide a real visual delight. The locker rooms are beautifully designed with subtle lighting that really provides for a relaxing atmosphere. Mulligan’s Pub has been designed in all natural wood. The elevated views at sunset from the bar and restaurant are arguably the most breathtaking views in Hua Hin. You can wine and dine on the exquisite cuisine and drinks here as you watch the evening sky transform into romantic red, orange and yellow colours as the burning tropical sun descends over the Burmese mountains many kilometres in the distance – simply spectacular.
