Whilst Hua Hin might not have the abundance of cooking schools found in Phuket, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui or throughout some of the other popular destinations in Thailand, it does still offer a small selection of places that will be able to give you the perfection introduction to authentic Thai food.
When attending a Thai cooking class, a typical day usually begins with an early morning trip to the local market to pick up your selection of fresh ingredients and spices before heading into the kitchen to learn how to cook a variety of traditional Thai dishes.

Thai Cooking Course Hua Hin
The one day course with Thai Cooking Course Hua Hin is an action packed and informative insight into the best of Thai cuisine. The day starts at 9am with a trip to Hua Hin’s famous 100 year old market before students get to grips learning how to cook what is perhaps the most famous Thai dish of them all, Keang Keaw Wan Gai (green curry). Other dishes on the cooking menu include Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Chicken with Cashew Nuts and Mango with Sticky Rice, just to name a few. Thai Cooking Course Hua Hin has been running for more than 12 years and today still remains popular with people visiting Hua Hin.
A one day course costs 1,500 Baht, with the school offering free transportation to and from your hotel or residence in Hua Hin. All students also receive a certificate of completion and their own Thai recipe book.
Anantara Hotel Hua Hin
The Anantara Hotel, located on Phetkasem Road in between Cha Am and Hua Hin offers a one to one Thai cooking class from one of its experienced in house chefs. The one day class consists of an early morning trip to the market before returning to the hotel to start your authentic Thai cooking experience. Cooking takes place inside a stunning teak gazebo, which is surrounded by lush trees and a beautiful lily pond. Typically attendees of the class will learn to cook four or five dishes including green curry, stir fried vegetables, tom yum goong and papaya salad. The perfect vacation treat for those staying in or close to the Anantara Hua Hin.
Cera Resort Cha Am
Located 20 minutes north of Hua Hin in Cha Am, the Cera Resort offers daily Thai cooking classes where you can learn to cook up to 3 of your favourite Thai dishes. Class sizes are kept small (normally no more than 4 people) and are hosted by the Cera’s expert master chef in the specially designed outdoor kitchen area.
A one day Thai cooking course at the Cera Resort costs 700 Baht per person and includes a souvenir apron and certificate of completion.
